Hey guys! Today I’m sharing my last outfit from our weekend in Germany, when we took photos in one of the prettiest spots in Garmisch: Lake Riessersee. The autumn colors on the trees surrounding the lake were so vivid, and you could even see their reflection on the surface of the water. As you may have noticed from previous posts, ponchos and turtlenecks were my outfit of choice because they are so warm and effortless to wear–just throw on and go! To keep my outfits interesting throughout the trip, I changed up my look with different hats and boots. One color I wear a lot during fall and winter is burgundy, and this plum poncho paired perfectly with my favorite shade, gray. Although it was a little too chilly in Garmisch to wear this on its own, the lightweight material makes it a nice choice for warmer autumn days or wearing indoors without overheating–it’s also a great travel piece (I actually wore mine on the plane ride there). This is definitely a classic wardrobe essential you’ll end up purchasing in multiple colors (did I mention it’s 50% off through this weekend?!)During photos, I made friends with these little guys who were hesitant to get close at first, but warmed up to me immediately when they realized I had some leftover pastries which I was willing to share.
I like how the asymmetrical silhouette of this poncho allows for easy movement of your arms, which is especially handy when you need to carry a bag on one of them.Fall foliage at its best: this reminds me of those picturesque labels you always see on Bath & Body Works fall candles, particularly the Leaves scent (which is one of my all-time favorites, by the way–it makes your home smell divine!)
