Happy Monday, and I hope all of you enjoyed the weekend! I am currently in Milan, tagging along with my husband for his work trip, but still have a few looks to share from our recent trip to Germany. There is certainly a vast difference between the quiet town of Garmisch and the bustling city streets of Milan, but one popular style remains the same: women everywhere are embracing the poncho. In my opinion, the best part about wearing ponchos is how simple it is to dress them up or down depending on the occasion. I typically like to wear wear heeled boots with mine, but for a day spent exploring the German countryside, comfy riding boots were an ideal choice.Wearing a super soft tunic sweater and leggings underneath a poncho makes this outfit the best of both worlds: cozy and chic!
My favorite parts of any outfit are the details which make it unique, like the bridle buckle which gives this poncho an equestrian feel and the zippers on my sweater sleeves.I ended up wearing these riding boots every day during our trip–they just look good with everything and are SO comfortable!Like everywhere else around Garmisch, the autumn foliage in the woods was seriously stunning–we had to pull off the side of the road just to take it all in (and the water really was this blue!)
I have to say, our vacation in Germany was the most relaxing one we’ve taken since moving to Europe. Living in Rome can be exhausting sometimes, and it felt so good to slow down and unwind for a few days.
