On our first full day in Garmisch, we decided to rent a car so we could tour the countryside at a leisurely pace, with our final destination being Neuschwanstein Castle (keep on scrolling for a photo of it below!) Although the castle is located in Germany, we had to pass through Austria on our route, and that countryside was equally as beautiful. We made a few stops along the way, including this open field–I couldn’t resist the colorful foliage for a gorgeous photo backdrop. My favorite color for fall and winter is gray and sometimes I like to mix different shades of it together, as I did for this monochromatic look. The best part about this vest is how it blends all of the various grays in my outfit together (while also keeping me warm and cozy!)
For a pop of color, I carried my burgundy bag, which also complimented the cool gray hues and broke up the neutral color scheme.I’m not sure what these purple flowers are, but even though they didn’t really fit in with the fall atmosphere, they were pretty nonetheless. You may have noticed a common theme in all of my outfits: hats. The weather in Germany was damp and sometimes rainy for the majority of our trip, so hats were a lifesaver for my hair, which does not play well with humidity!Saving the best photo for last: Neuschwanstein Castle in all its autumn glory, with the low-hanging fog making it look even more magical! We didn’t actually take an inside tour of the castle this time, but are definitely adding it to the list for when we return. I’ll be back next week with more photos from our trip, but until then, have a wonderful weekend and thank you so much for reading!
