Happy Tuesday, everyone! It feels like Monday to me since we just returned from our weekend getaway yesterday evening. If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you already know that we spent the time in Germany, but if not, get ready for lots of autumn-themed photos over the next few weeks!
While there, we stayed at the Edelweiss lodge in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, a small town in Bavaria which is nestled in the mountains of southern Germany. Our flight from Rome to Munich was just over an hour and after several short train rides later, we reached our final destination. The relatively quick trip, combined with Germany’s picturesque countryside and extremely delicious food, has us planning our next vacation already!
During our travels there, I wore this incredibly cozy wrap over a lightweight turtleneck to maintain comfort in the fluctuating temperatures (we went from about 70°F in Rome to mid-50’s in Germany). The gorgeous gray color and fringe detail initially caught my eye and I’m really glad I purchased this because the styling possibilities are virtually endless–it can be worn open, thrown over one shoulder, belted at the waist, or even tied as a scarf. In fact, I love it so much I’m considering grabbing the black one while it’s still available (they’re going fast!)
This wrap is also perfect for twirling in the leaves, which is just what I did on the autumn stroll we took through town after we arrived!

If you’ve been searching for the perfect classic riding boot, look no further than this style from Frye: I snagged my pair during Nordstrom’s anniversary sale back in July, and my only regret is not purchasing the brown color as well. They are minimal in design, have an inside zipper for easy access, and a slim shaft that is ideal for wearing with skinny jeans and leggings.
This is just one of many breathtaking views of the mountains we had, but I can’t even be sure photos give this autumn scenery proper justice. I have never seen such vivid fall foliage in person, and truly felt like we were living in a postcard–I seriously did not want to leave!
