{ Milan Street Style: Leather jacket, Leopard scarf & Distressed denim }

Hi everyone, and I hope your week has gotten off to a great start! I’m dragging a bit today because my husband got called for a work emergency during the night and I never sleep as soundly when that happens. I made sure to brew the coffee extra strong this morning and stick to my regular schedule so I wouldn’t fall asleep, but I sure am ready to crawl into bed!

I put together this outfit on a whim using the few basic pieces I brought with me to Milan Fashion Week and ended up wearing it on our last night there. A leather jacket and distressed denim are some of my favorite travel essentials because they can be mixed and matched with many other pieces, and they definitely came in handy for this trip.
Speaking of fashion week, have any of you been following the one currently happening in Paris? I think my favorite shows have to be Chanel and Dior solely for the incredible creativity that went into the set designs. The Dior show was held a few days ago, where guests entered a makeshift hill entirely covered with real delphinium flowers to the show located inside, which complemented the feminine, elegant spring ensembles sent down the runway. Can you even imagine how intoxicating the scent must have been?! Chanel’s show was held earlier today at the Grand Palais in Paris, in a setting which had been entirely transformed into an airport terminal, complete with check-in counter, flight gates, and luggage adorned with double-C logos. Sigh…what I would give to have had an invitation to one of those shows!A splash of deep burgundy against the mainly black and gray palette of this outfit allowed my handbag to stand out.This combination of leather and distressed denim was decidedly edgy, and fitting for a street-style photo shoot on our walk to dinner.
