Happy Thursday, everyone–we’re one day closer to the weekend! With the end of summer approaching, I’ve been doing my best to incorporate autumnal touches into my outfits while staying cool in the still-high temperatures. Some peep-toe style booties and a rich red bag help give this look an early-fall appeal while still dressing for summer. As I get older, when shopping for new clothing and accessories, I try to steer clear of items that are sure to be outdated quickly, opting instead for pieces I know will get plenty of use for many years. These leopard pants have been a part of my wardrobe for almost four years now and still look modern thanks to the clean, ankle-length style–all it takes are different shoes and a new top or jacket to mix it up each time I wear them.A denim vest is ideal for hot days when I need a piece of outerwear to complete an outfit without the risk of overheating. And now, for a little PSA: ladies, if you ever visit Italy (or any other place mostly paved with cobblestones), take extra care when walking if you choose to wear heels. I was so bummed to notice one of the heels on these booties was dented by a cobblestone the last time I wore them. Thank goodness they are black so I was able to use a Sharpie pen for a quick fill-in (not the first time I’ve done this for black shoes!)A combination of leopard, black and red is truly a match made in color heaven, and will always be one of my favorites. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and as always, thanks for reading!
