Hey guys and happy Tuesday! Sharing another look from our time in Naples, and on this particular day, we decided to take a tour of the famous Tunnel Borbonico (Bourbon Tunnel–named for King Ferdinand II of Bourbon). This historic site is an underground passageway beneath Naples that has had many uses since it was first built as an escape route for members of the royalty: an aqueduct system for water supply, illegal dumping ground, storage area for illegal vehicles, and a bomb shelter during World War II. Other than the area around the main entrance, you aren’t allowed to take photos during the tour, so unfortunately I couldn’t include any on this post. Being a history buff, my husband is the one who really wanted to do this, but it actually ended up being pretty fascinating, and a welcome escape from the summer heat (the temperature was probably twenty degrees cooler down there!) I’ve worn this denim vest over plenty of tops and dresses, but this time I decided to rock it alone as a shirt, and I actually think this may be my favorite way to wear it.I’ve always loved to wear turquoise jewelry in the summer, and a rustic denim background created the perfect canvas for showcasing this statement necklace.I’ve had this pair of silky floral shorts in my closet for years, but I still love them–despite the intricate pattern, they go with all sorts of tops, from denim to solid or striped tees, tanks, and blouses.Turquoise sandals and a gold clutch tied in the colors from my necklace and shorts, rounding out this summery look.
