Happy Monday, everyone, and I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We got back yesterday from our mini vacay to Capri and I can’t wait to share some more moments from our travels on the blog this week! The island is just as beautiful as all of the photos out there, and my husband and I had fun seeing it for the first time ourselves.
To get to Capri, we first took a ferry ride that lasted a little less than one hour from the dock at Naples. After we arrived at the dock, we then took a ten minute taxi ride up to the hotel where we stayed in Anacapri (‘Ana’ is the Greek word for ‘above’ and Anacapri is at the peak of the island). As soon as we dropped off our luggage, we walked into the center of town for a bite to eat and check out the shops and restaurants.
I just couldn’t resist wearing this adorable tee for our first day on the island and I have to admit I was waiting for this trip to break it out! My husband thought it was funny that I decided to wear this, but hey, when the tee fits, right?
How charming is this little side street? I just love all of the pink color!
Capri is famous for everything lemon, so naturally, this tote was the first one I reached for to take along with me.
Capri is also known for their famous colorful handpainted tiles and you’ll find them being used on all sorts of things: store signs, house numbers, benches, and my favorite, this vivid bird and hibiscus print I spotted on a set of stairs.Flat sandals and a fedora rounded out this summery look and was very comfy for the hours we spent exploring.
Although the town of Anacapri is tiny, it is home to four churches–I’ve always enjoyed hearing old church bells, and these chimed throughout the day.
