Today I want to talk a little bit about shopping at the outdoor markets here in Rome and my new favorite bag from Vine Street Market for toting around food, flowers, or whatever else I happen to pick up along the way. Not only is this all-purpose tote roomy enough to carry just about anything, it also happens to be eco-friendly since it’s made from re-purposed, organic materials. I buy almost all of my produce at the open air markets found all over the city, particularly this one in my neighborhood, and can almost always rest assured everything is fresh since it gets restocked daily. The best part about buying produce in Rome is that it’s so plentiful and typically pretty inexpensive, making it easy to eat well.
I often buy flowers at roadside stands, so we had to make a pit stop here after the produce market. I am so excited that sunflowers are in season now–even though they don’t last that long, I just can’t resist buying a fresh bouquet every week!

One side has a separate little pocket that can be flipped in or out, which is just the right size for my phone, keys, and a lipstick.

I forgot to take a photo, but I also like to wear the strap crossbody-style to distribute the weight more evenly when it gets heavy (it has a little bit of elastic to make it comfier).
