Happy Wednesday! I’m dragging a bit today because I’m running on five hours of sleep after a late night, but the cause was totally worth it because I was at a Mumford & Sons concert. Not only did but my husband surprise me when he managed to snag last-minute VIP tickets for us, but we got to hang out in the band’s private lounge area, which made the night even more amazing. I still can’t believe I got to witness some of their pre-show rituals before they went on stage, and getting to watch the encore from backstage–literally 20 feet from the band–was the cherry on top of an incredible show! If you’re a fan of their music and the tour happens to stop near your city, it’s definitely worth the concert ticket.
With the Fourth of July right around the corner, I’ve found myself gravitating towards patriotic colors when putting the final touches on an outfit, such as red, white or blue nail polish or a bold red lipcolor.
I like how the combination of a classic white shirt, distressed denim, and a vintage bandana suggests American style, but can just as easily be worn any other day of the year without screaming, ‘Independence Day.’ Oh, and my bandana literally is vintage–my mom passed down a box full of them to me that she used to wear at least twenty years ago–lucky for me they happen to have made a comeback (and unlucky for me that I left most of them in storage back home!)
