For easy, breezy summer style, a good straw hat, colorful tote, and maxi skirt all channel a carefree vibe (and the wind put the ‘breezy’ in this outfit–I almost lost my hat a few times!) One of my favorite ways to wear a maxi skirt is by adding a wide belt: not only does it help accentuate the waistline, but it also breaks up the top and bottom half of an outfit. I have to say this cap-sleeve blouse from J. Crew is now one of my favorites; the peachy coral color is extremely versatile, the V-neckline is the perfect length, and the fit is loose and comfortable for hot days (just make sure to size down because it runs large!)
Although there are plenty of things I miss from home, something I’ve found to be better (not to mention much cheaper) in Italy is wine–big surprise there, right? After we shot these photos, we headed to a great little spot we found that is literally a bar on the street corner. Thankfully, I had one photo on my phone to show how you can even get a shot of liquor ‘to go’ before leaving! Besides all of the wine, beer and liquor for sale, you can fill your own liter bottle for €5 of red or white table wine, which is equal to 1 1/3 bottles. Try finding a deal like that in the states–and for wine that actually tastes good!
