Happy Monday and I hope all of you had a great weekend! The weather here has been so perfect lately–an average of 80 degrees and sunny, with no humidity–so we spent a lot of time zipping around on the Vespa and exploring Rome the past few days. Believe it or not, even though we have been here for three months, we still have so much to see, and we can cover a lot of ground in a short amount of time by using the scooter. We weren’t the only ones playing tourist, either; with summer and its accompanying warm weather fast approaching, the city is getting more crowded by the day.
These crepe track shorts have been in my closet since February, so I was excited for the chance to finally wear them during our exploration of the city. The polyester fabric and elastic waist band practically makes them look like a 70s throwback (I’m pretty sure there are old pictures of my dad wearing shorts similar to these!), but the powder pink hue and feminine fit keeps the style fresh and modern. I love how this floral kimono adds an unexpected twist–I’ve worn it before with jeans and heels, but pairing it with these shorts and my favorite old school sneakers made for a casual, yet polished weekend look.
