Happy Memorial Day from Roma! Even though we are in Italy, I put on some patriotic colors today and added my favorite pair of distressed denim jeans for a decidedly American look. I don’t have too much to report about our long weekend–we went to see Pitch Perfect 2 (luckily for us, it was in English with Italian subtitles and not vice versa!) and spent more time arranging things and picture-hanging around our apartment.
Today wasn’t too eventful, but the weather was absolutely perfect–sunny and 75–so we took the Vespa for a spin in a new part of town, hit the gym, and grocery shopped for the week. Although we didn’t get to attend any cookouts like we would have back home, we did manage to fix some cheeseburgers and homemade oven fries for dinner, finished off with a few refreshing mojitos. My mint plant is growing like crazy, so I am happily making the most of it! I hope all of you had a wonderful weekend as well and thanks so much for reading!
