I finally tackled my shoe and clothing organization today, which was a pretty daunting task, if you can imagine–ha! It was a very productive afternoon; in fact, I only left the apartment once today for a workout at the gym. Speaking of the gym, we recently joined one in our new neighborhood, and now I’m not only exercising my body, but also my math skills because I have to convert the kilograms to pounds for weight lifting and kilometers to miles for the cardio machines. Thank goodness there’s an app on my phone to help with that! I’ve also taken a few group classes and although the instructor teaches in Italian, the phrases are pretty basic and I can follow along just by copying the motions of everyone else.
While walking through Villa Borghese the other weekend we came across the cutest garden with an ivy maze–very reminiscent of Alice in Wonderland. Although I usually wear sneakers for walks, I wore these block-heel sandals comfortably for hours. I discovered the beautiful Spanish brand, Lola Cruz, while window shopping one day, and fell in love with the rose gold accents and metallic heel on this pair. Although this brand isn’t as easy to come by in the U.S., I did find a few places online that carry them and linked a pair similar to mine below–I highly recommend checking them out! All of the shoes have a feminine silhouette and unique quality that sets them apart from others.
