Hi, everyone! I hope all of you had a great weekend and a good start to the new week. Today’s post comes from one of my favorite spots in Rome, Villa Ada. I was out for a run in the park one afternoon and happened to notice this random antiquated little building off one of the paths; despite having run through there many times, I had somehow missed it. Rome is like that, with something new to discover around every corner, even in the most ‘familiar’ places. I knew as soon as I saw this place that we would be back to take blog photos.
I chose a floaty chiffon maxi skirt and delicate floral print blouse to mimic the ethereal aura of the grounds. After doing a little research later on at home, I found out that the building is known as the Temple of Flora, and used to be a coffee house built in the eighteenth century style. Today, the architecture is crumbling, the windows are gone, moss covers the stones, and the woods are slowly reclaiming the site, but an air of romance remains.
