One of my favorite places to shop since moving to Rome has been at Il Baule di Bedin Rosanna, a vintage clothing boutique a few blocks from our current location. Each time I have gone to this shop I have taken something special home, and this vintage YSL leopard print scarf was the first item I purchased there. The best part about consignment shopping is that you never know what gems you may find because inventory can change quickly, and in Italy, many stores offer luxury designer pieces that would be much more expensive and harder to find in the states.
Speaking of fashion, today’s Italian language class was especially fun because the majority of it was spent talking about moda. We used words for basic objects related to style (bag, shoes, skirt, etc.) and practiced describing them using adjectives while looking through a copy of VOGUE Italia that I brought to class. With every lesson, I am putting more pieces of the Italian puzzle together, all the better to help hone my shopping skills. Ha!
