Gingham is back in a big way this season but this time around it’s being worn in a more elegant fashion. The print that is typically thought of as preppy/country casual can be taken from laid-back to luxe with a few simple outfit adjustments. For a look that’s polished enough for the office, I paired my pink button-down with a sleek pencil skirt and pumps. A jewel-encrusted statement necklace and gold shoulder bag add glam touches while the pastel colors of the outfit speak to the spring season.
Speaking of spring, Villa Borghese, the park where we shot these photos, was so beautiful this weekend. The trees are in bloom and the various gardens throughout the park are full of blossoming flowers and fruit trees–both of which I think we need for our apartment, especially a lemon tree!
