There’s nothing better than wandering the streets of Rome and turning a corner to find amazing side streets and alleyways. While walking around Centro (center of the city) last weekend, it was very crowded, so we veered off the main road onto a steep street, walked down a huge stone staircase, turned a few corners, and were greeted with the kind of view you would expect to see in a tour guide. An Ancient building with arched doorways, plants hanging from the window, parked Vespa, all lining a cobblestone path–it’s just so Rome. Speaking of Vespas, my husband pointed out that every post I’ve had this week includes a scooter in the backdrop, which totally hasn’t been planned, they’re just literally everywhere!
Since I knew we would be doing a lot of walking, I made sure to dress comfortably. Much like the fall season, I tend to layer during this time of year since the temperature can fluctuate throughout the day. A thin tee worn under an open denim shirt and topped with a utility jacket allows for various styling options while the layers lend visual interest to the outfit. White denim and my favorite sneakers complete this fresh spring look.
We are so excited because our car finally arrived in Rome and we may get to go on a day trip out of the city this weekend–let the traveling begin! I wish all of you a Buona Pasqua/Happy Easter and hope you enjoy time spent with your loved ones this weekend. As always, thank you for reading!
