Today’s post was shot in one of my favorite spots in Rome, Villa Ada, a large park located about 1/2 mile from our temporary location in the city. It’s a great spot for running, walking or just enjoying the peaceful scenery that’s a refuge from the hustle and bustle outside. Villa Ada is the second largest park in Rome, and includes a lake, horseback riding area, rolling hills for picnics, and plenty of wooded trails. The Egyptian Embassy is also located inside the park, but that portion is private and constantly guarded by police or army personnel. I already made the mistake of getting too close to the embassy and being shooed away by one of the guards before I realized what it was–oops!
Mixing pieces in light neutral colors is always a simple way to evoke a lighthearted feel for any spring outfit. I recently discovered Coin, Italy’s version of a department store, where I picked up this blush pink scarf and long cardigan. I tried linking them to the post, but unfortunately it looks like you can’t shop for merchandise online yet. Much like a Macy’s back in the states, Coin offers clothing for all ages, as well as a home department which has some very pretty dishes and decor. I can’t wait to move into our permanent place so I can start decorating again!
