Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a fun weekend. It’s been rainy here for the past few days, so we spent most of yesterday hiding out from the weather at home. When the rain slowed down for a bit, we ventured out for coffee and pastries, which has become our Sunday afternoon routine. While we were exploring another part of the city, we stopped in a different coffee shop and as we were looking around, my husband stumbled upon a back door which opened into a huge two-level room lined with row upon row of wine and specialty liquors. With the signs categorizing all bottles by region, complete with a stepladder for reaching high shelves, it felt like we were in a library. We told the shopkeeper the types we preferred and he suggested a few for us, but with so many choices, you just have to pick a few and try them–no doubt we will be shopping there quite often! Once our car arrives, we can’t wait to head to the Italian countryside to visit the actual vineyards where the wines are created.
Sweatshirts are having a style moment and my favorite way to wear one is in the form of a dress. I especially appreciate the hi-low hem of this style which offers a shorter length in the front but more coverage in the back. Although it’s a dress, this could just as easily be worn like a tunic over leggings or skinny jeans for colder weather. For a little color infusion, I accessorized with a floral print scarf and a punchy pink bag while adding peep-toe booties for a spring vibe. Please pardon my snow-white legs–this is the first time they’ve been exposed to sunlight in months and I am still waiting on my self-tanning lotions to arrive!
