Ciao from Roma! We are settling into our new home and have been spending the last few days doing a lot of walking to familiarize ourselves with the area–I think it’s safe to say we’re enchanted by this city. For our first stroll around the neighborhood, I chose a comfortable outfit in hues reminiscent of spring. I purchased these New Balances before we left and they have proven to be the best addition to my wardrobe I’ve had in a long time. I knew we would be doing a lot of walking here, but I quickly realized that it’s even more than I had anticipated. These sneakers keep me comfy for miles and work with practically everything, plus the gold accents were just too good to pass up (and admittedly what caught my eye in the first place).
Luckily, traveling on foot is an absolute pleasure here. I don’t even know where to begin with the sights I’ve seen: from the abundance of historical architecture to the endless amounts of specialty food shops lining the roads, Roma is a feast for the eyes and stomach. I haven’t even mentioned the amazing weather–we literally experienced a change in seasons overnight upon arrival in Italy. The sunny skies, light breeze, and 60-degree temperature were a welcome embrace as we stepped out of the airport. My wish for spring weather has been granted!
