I can’t begin to tell you how cold I was when we were shooting this outfit–it was in the 30s, but the extreme wind made it feel below zero. Silky floral pants probably aren’t the best choice when it comes to practicality for this weather, but they sure are a welcome dose of color on gray winter days. My husband likes to refer to these as my “tropi-pants” despite how I tried to explain that it’s not a tropical pattern and the dark floral print is intended for the fall/winter season…gotta love it! I do feel they can easily be worn year-round, though, and I plan on wearing them in warmer weather with a blouse or silky camisole. To winterize them for this look and add extra warmth on top, I layered a faux fur vest underneath my coat. I received this wrap coat for Christmas and it was just what you can expect from Ralph Lauren: clean, classic, and meant to last for years.
