Happy Monday, everyone! I enjoyed a long weekend with friends and had a great time showing them around our town. We relaxed one afternoon at a local winery, had a nice dinner out, and went for a hike in the mountains yesterday. Since we both had today off, my husband and I did some preparation errands and shopping for our upcoming move to Rome (less than 5 weeks now!) First, we took our two kitties to the vet for the rabies booster shots that Italy requires for all imported pets. Last week, they had to get microchip implants that contain a code which attaches them to us–my husband now likes to refer to them as “robo-kitties.” Their final checkup has to be within ten days of our move to Rome before they are officially ready. It’s been quite a process getting them prepared for the move, but I couldn’t bear to leave them behind. The real adventure will be when they have their first plane ride! I would love to hear travel tips or stories from anyone who has taken their pet overseas.
These train tracks are the perfect setting for this rustic plaid coat (don’t worry, the train no longer runs through here). I chose brown and black details to accentuate the colors of the pattern and add polish to the ensemble.
