It doesn’t get much more festive than red tartan plaid for the holiday season and this oversized ruana definitely channels a Christmas vibe. To balance the billowy silhouette of the poncho, I kept the bottom half streamlined with legging denim and sleek leather boots. I’m looking forward to wearing this on the reverse side next time with black leather pants or a sweater dress for a totally different look. I love how ponchos can also serve as outerwear for winter days that aren’t too cold. I wore this outfit for running some last minute holiday errands and it was nice not to worry about dealing with a heavy coat as we went in and out of stores.
