When I bought this skirt over the summer from Express, I couldn’t resist purchasing the matching crop top as well. I wore the skirt here in summer with a striped blouse, and I feel like wearing it now with the coordinating top gives it more of a fall feel–a backdrop of fallen leaves doesn’t hurt either! The crop top’s hemline just barely grazes the high waist of the skirt, creating the illusion of a one-piece. While out to lunch and errands with my hubby over the weekend, three people told me they loved my “dress,” and were totally surprised when I showed them they were actually separates!
I have to mention how much I love my new crossbody from Elaine Turner. My search for the perfect gray crossbody bag is over. I have the same bag in a clutch form, and this is its bigger sister–an additional compartment doubles the capacity but the sleek shape remains. The gold detail on the envelope flap and chain link strap add the perfect touches of glam to the neutral leather.
