Mismatched stripes can be harmonious together–who knew?! I was going to wear this crop top with a black midi, but when I held it next to the striped skirt, I thought the combo could be interesting. Stripe mixing can be tricky, but I’ve found the easiest way is to select patterns from the same color family with noticeably different widths. The lines don’t have to run in the same direction; mixing vertical and horizontal stripes can also work. A scarlet red bag and lips stand out in bold contrast to this look and break up the uniformity of the lines.
