Hi everyone! I hope your week has gotten off to a great start. I’m back from my mini vacation and have plenty of beachy looks to share! Today I’m featuring what I wore on the trip there. I go for easy, relaxed pieces when I know I’ll be sitting for a long time. An oversized linen tee, loose pair of drawstring shorts, and flat sandals kept me comfy the entire way and didn’t wrinkle too badly either. When I’m on the go in the summer and need a fast, stylish fix for my hair, it’s typically a ponytail and a hat. Forewarning: there’s plenty more of this style to come from our trip!
We spent three nights at a bed and breakfast called the Cameron House Inn, located in the quaint town of Manteo, on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Our vacation couldn’t have been more relaxed. I just love small seaside towns and we were only a few blocks away from the waterfront shops and restaurants. We spent our days eating seafood, walking on the beach, biking around the island, and even playing some putt-putt golf (hubby’s idea!) Ever since our first trip to a B&B in Williamsburg, Virginia a few years ago, my husband and I always prefer staying in them over hotels if at all possible. You can’t beat the homey quality and of course, the delicious breakfasts each morning. The best part is that they’re never the same. This inn featured a lovely back porch with an outdoor fireplace, plenty of fragrant jasmine, and the sweetest kitties–like my furry friend here, “Fat Jack,” who enjoyed posing for blog photos!
