Gosh, I love the light in the evenings–particularly when it’s framed by palm trees. Everything just seems to be lit with an ethereal glow near sunset. This ensemble is so fitting for the soft light with its delicate features: the sheerest floral fabric of the kimono jacket, the thin chains which make up the tassel necklace, and the combination of pastel hues.
When I spotted this kimono jacket at Target, the pretty floral pattern is what attracted me. I didn’t already own anything resembling a kimono, so at first it was tricky to style it. I found that the oversized, flowing silhouette of the jacket worked best worn with the skinniest jeans in my closet because the contrasting shapes balance each other out.
