I know what you may be thinking: “Another red/white/black ensemble?” I just can’t help myself from being drawn to this color combination during the holidays! This sweater paired with bright red is reminiscent of a Nordic pattern; add the snowy landscape and I feel like I could be in Scandinavia. 😉
I prefer adding belts to patterned sweaters such as this for two reasons. First, a belt defines the waistline and adds polish to the loose style. Second, the patterns usually differ on the inner and outer areas, so a belt holds it in place to display the contrast. The dress I’m wearing was a late summer style (also worn here), but by layering it with a turtleneck, chunky sweater, thick tights, and furry boots, I was actually quite warm. After wearing this, I was inspired to use the same dress for another holiday look–stay tuned!
