I went to my parents’ last weekend and enjoyed wandering their property to take photos. There’s something about spending time in the country that always fills me with a sense of comfort and peace. Wherever life takes me, I will always be a small town girl at heart.
This was one of those spur-of-the-moment looks that turned out much better than my original plan. I thought I’d pair this pinky beige sweater with denim and a statement necklace. Then I saw my dusty pink cords and thought maybe the two shades of pink would complement one another. While pondering accessories, I suddenly remembered this plaid scarf, and within minutes the ensemble had gone totally pink. For monochromatic outfits, it’s key to pick different shades of the same color so there is some contrast (light and dark).
