A flannel shirt topped with a field jacket is completely at home in this woodsy autumn setting. All of the different textures: soft flannel, silky scarf, and satiny jacket with suede patches, somehow seem like they were made to be worn together. I knew I wanted a field jacket for fall, and found this at Nordstrom’s anniversary sale in late summer. It was completely sold out online, but when I went in the store, there was one left–and lucky for me, in my size! Fashion fate. 😉 There are a lot of possibilities for this flannel shirt. I’m imagining it with a chunky sweater vest, utility jacket, or peeking out from under a sweater.
