utility jacket with chambray shirt and white tee, AG the stilt cigarette distressed jeans, how to layer with a utility jacketHey there and I hope all of you had a wonderful Easter weekend! My friend left yesterday to head home to the U.S. and I was sad to see her go. When you live in different countries, visits with friends are few and far between, so it was such a treat to spend a week together. On Saturday, we ended her Italian vacation with a tour of the Colosseum and Roman Forum/Palatine Hill, followed by a stroll through the streets of Centro. Since it was her last day, obviously we had to indulge in the usual Italian fare: cappuccinos, gelato, pizza, pasta, and wine (yes, we had everything!) how to layer with a utility jacket, olive green jacket with chambray shirt and white tee, distressed denim, Adidas Stan Smith sneakersI stuck to a mix of casual basics for our walking adventure because when it comes to touring Rome, comfort is always my number one priority. Light layers were ideal for the fluctuating temperature, and since those cobblestones can be tricky to navigate, my comfiest sneakers were a no-brainer as my footwear of choice.vintage Louis Vuitton Passy shoulder bagJ Crew olive utility jacket worn over chambray denim shirt and white v neck tee, distressed jeans with Adidas Stan Smith sneakersYear after year, I always find myself reaching for a utility jacket, especially during spring and fall–it’s the ultimate form of outerwear for warm weather and the neutral olive color works with just about anything. This time, I added a white tee and chambray shirt underneath to give my look a little more visual appeal.utility jacket with chambray denim shirt, H&M gray fedora, Louis Vuitton vintage monogram Passy bagH&M gray fedora, J Crew olive green utility jacket, Stila Baci nude pink lipcolorRome Colosseum, photography Rome Italy, travel bloggerPalatine Hill Rome Italy, travel bloggerHere are a few of the stunning views from our tour–looking at the Colosseum never gets old!

I am a third grade teacher in MS. My husband and I have been married about 4 1/2 years. I have so enjoyed following your blog of late. Linked you from The Fashion Canvas. You have a great fun, yet classic sense of style. I’ve also traveled quite a lot during college. One of those places was Rome and Florence. St. Peters Basilica, the Sistine Chapel, and the Colosseum were some favorites. It’s been fun reliving the memories through your travels. I loved every part of Rome and the food is amazing!! On another trip I went to Germany, Munich and Garmisch with friends; also very special places to visit and the people everywhere are really friendly. Look forward to seeing your future styles and travels. Hope you and your family had a wonderful Easter. God bless.

Hi Amanda, thanks so much for stopping by and leaving this sweet message! I actually used to be a first grade teacher and do miss it sometimes! We will be living here for another year and have so much traveling left to do–I think we could live here for ten years and still not have enough time to see all of Europe. So glad you are following now and I hope to hear from you again! I hope you had a wonderful Easter 🙂
