Last weekend, I took a few basic pieces (tank, denim shorts, and a cardigan) and amped them up with bold accessories for a casual Friday night. We got together with some friends and all of us rode to Centro for dinner on our scooters/motorcycles (four total). We had a blast cruising the streets of Rome Italian-style, one of us blaring old hip-hop music from his motorcycle’s speakers–even the local drivers were laughing and getting a kick out of our ‘scooter gang.’ Sometimes I still have to pinch myself that this is actually real life in Rome!
The item description for this cardigan says ‘wide cut’ but from the back it almost looks like a cape, and when I walk, it does tend to fly open for a superhero effect!
I’ve had these Gatsby-inspired earrings in my jewelry collection for years and I’ll probably be inspired to wear them a lot more often since fringe has made such a huge comeback for the season.
Usually thought of only for daytime, denim shorts can totally be worn at night if you add a pair of killer heels, and I love these lace-up style booties: they’re perfect for warm weather but can be worn all the way through early fall.
