H&M chambray tie waist shirt, black culotte shorts, Sam Edelman black studded gladiator sandals, Dooney & Bourke black chevron tote, how to wear culottesHappy Wednesday! Today’s look is what I wore last weekend for lunch and shopping around Centro. The Saldi sales in Rome are starting to wind down, but I tagged along for some suit shopping with my husband, and he managed to find some amazing deals from his favorite Italian brand (both of us are definitely deal seekers!)
H&M chambray crop top, culotte shorts, fedora with black trim, Dooney & Bourke black chevron toteChambray is one of my favorite summer fabrics and this tie-waist top is especially lightweight (a must for this extreme heat!) The flowy silhouette of these high-waist culotte shorts also makes them a winner for hot days.H&M fedora with black ribbon, chambray waist tie crop top, black culotte shorts, NARS heat wave lipstickDooney & Bourke black chevron tote, H&M chambray tied waist crop top, black culottes, how to wear culottesHow fun is this chevron-printed tote? The zig-zags create a busy pattern, but are the perfect complement to any solid colored outfit. Chanel black cateye sunglasses with quilted leather, chrome silver Michael Kors Lexington watch worn with banglesI often find myself reaching for silver jewelry in the summer, and a mix of bangles, a ball bracelet, and an oversized boyfriend watch is my go-to summer arm party.

After we moved here, I did a little research to find out what they were and learned that this domestic breed was released into the wild and ended up adapting well to Italy’s environments since winters are not too cold and there are plenty of exotic plants (they like eating the fruit you can see under this branch). As we were leaving the park where we shot these photos, a few of them were flying around in the palms overhead, so hubby grabbed the camera and managed to snap a few great photos (which is not easy since they are constantly on the move!)
