{ Ancient City: Gingham shirt, Stan Smith sneakers & Orange bag }

June 29, 2015

Civita di Bagnoregio, travel review, Italian fashion blog, traveling in Italy countryside, sightseeing in LazioHappy Monday and I hope all of you had a wonderful weekend! We took different trips on each day and had so much fun exploring new parts of Italy, especially here at Civita di Bagnoregio, a drive that took a little less than two hours from Rome. Believe it or not, this picture of the ancient city isn’t photo-shopped–it really looks this magical in person! I’ll be posting a more in-depth of our trip later on my La Dolce Vita page, but I just had to share a few photos in addition to what I wore for our long day of exploration.

Founded nearly 2,500 years ago, the entire town was abandoned after being hit by a massive earthquake during the Middle Ages, and the number of people still remains very small today, with about 100 living here during the summer and barely more than 10 in the winter–definitely a far cry from Rome (and basically every other city in the world).
Italy fields of sunflowers LazioOn the way home, we got stuck in some traffic on the highway, which gave me the perfect opportunity to grab the camera and snap some photos of one of the massive sunflower fields along the side of the road–so beautiful!
