Crew denim shirt dress, fedora with chambray trim, Valentino rockstud white gladiator sandals, Kate Spade lemon tote, Italian fashion blogDuring our trip to Tuscany, we decided to drive to Florence one afternoon since it was only about 15 minutes away from our B&B. I found Firenze to be much similar to the Centro area in Rome, with classically styled buildings, narrow cobblestone-paved streets, and designer shopping on every corner! We had only walked around for a few minutes when I was pleasantly surprised to stumble upon THE Aquazurra store–it’s literally the only one in the world, and Florence is where the shoes are designed and produced. Needless to say, I immediately dragged my husband inside and spent 20 minutes trying on several different shoes. I wasn’t able to try all the different styles I wanted in the limited amount of time we had, but it was really neat to experience a brand I had heard so much about and previously only seen a handful of times. One of the other places we were able to see was the Salvatore Ferragamo flagship store, also right next door to the Ferragamo museum (which unfortunately was closed that day in preparation for a new exhibit). We quickly breezed through just to look, and now that I know where it is I will definitely return for a more detailed inspection. All in all, I highly recommend Florence as a place to visit, and there’s no doubt I will be heading back in the near future!

I love how simple and reliable a denim dress is because it can dressed up or down easily and practically goes with any bag and shoe combination. This may sound strange, but I can’t get enough of lemon print lately–perhaps because I’m in Italy? This fun tote I found from Kate Spade last year has been my go-to for pairing with stripes, denim, and orange or navy. I also found some really cute lemony pieces from the Milly for Kohls Capri-inspired line which will be featured on the blog soon!
