Today’s post features another outfit I wore on our trip to the Chianti region in Tuscany. The day started out a little bit chilly, so I added a lightweight scarf for warmth and a pop of color against my mostly white outfit. Fortunately the weather wasn’t too cold for sandals, and because of the comfy molded footbed and glam-yet-neutral gold, I have been wearing these nonstop. In fact, I love them so much that I am debating whether I should get another color. Birkenstocks are back in a big way, and since my husband would really prefer that I not get them, this style from Michael Kors is a great compromise on comfort and looks.

During our trip we drove around the countryside to try a few random wineries, and our first stop was this particular vineyard, Castello VicchioMaggio, which ended up being our favorite–in the end we left with 21 bottles of vino! (I’ll be writing about this gorgeous property which is a winery, B&B, and castle in a more in-depth travel post soon). The countryside in Tuscany was really breathtaking, and in some areas, the views were so similar to the landscape in Virginia that I almost felt as if we were driving on a back country road at home–we definitely experienced some déjà vu. One thing is for sure, we will be going back soon; if anyone has been there before, I’d love to hear your suggestions for our next visit!
