No time of day is better for blog photos–or just spending time outside–than the “golden hour.” This lovely, yet fleeting, window when everything is bathed in golden light happens just before the sun sets. Basically everything just looks prettier and more romantic. It also happens to make fair skin like mine appear to be more bronze, which is always a bonus!
Whimsical printed clothing has been popular recently, and this French print popover is my favorite. The variety of the print makes the color pairing possibilities endless (I also wore it with stripes here). I chose bright red for this date night look, which brought out the miniature balloons in the pattern. A cobalt clutch complimented the shorts and rose gold pumps rounded out the ensemble. Let me just say how much I’ve been obsessing about these heels since I first saw them. After waiting for months, I finally caught them on sale from Piperlime. I’ve already thought of so many ways to wear them all year round. It’s always a good feeling knowing I’ll get a lot of mileage from my investment pieces.
